Taiwan’s Bureau of Health Insurance has published an updated contribution tables and new Health Insurance rate which has been put in effect from 1 January 2016:

Health Insurance

  1. Insurance premium rate had decreased from 4.91% to 4.69%. Please refer to new amount in the health insurance table for your calculation
  2. The number of average dependent had decreased from 1.62 to 1.61. Please refer to new amount in the health insurance table for your calculation

Health Insurance-supplementary

  1. The capping of health insurance-supplementary applicable to deduction had increased from NT 5000 to NT 20000 for one-time-paid rental income, interest revenue, Income fro professional practice, and income of dividends.
  2. Health insurance-supplementary premium rate had decreased from 2% to 1.91%
